We are looking for a Security Engineer to join our team on an effort supporting our Federal Government Client in Washington, D.C.
Position Overview:
Top Secret Clearance is required
- Create security guides (i.e. Educational material and step by step PowerPoint slides)
- Security monitoring and evaluation, including audits, assessment, and risk management (Splunk, Kibana/ElasticSearch)
- Security awareness, training, incident response and management (i.e. POA&Ms)
- Active collaboration with technical leads, developers and the client to ensure your system is within FISMA compliance.
- Provide security artifacts to ensure your systems security control have proper evidence.
- Review system security audit logs and take corrective action as needed.
- Ensure all technical security diagrams are updated.
Requirements
Required:
- TOP SECERET CLEARANCE, WITH THE ABILITY TO OBTAIN SCI
- 7-10 years of relevant experience
- Experience with MS Office products (Excel a must)
- Understand of the cloud systems (AWS/Azure)
- Desire to learn (must)
Desired Skills:
- Linux (RHEL7/8) and Windows Operating System
- Working in an Agile environment (Sprints/Jira/Kanban Boards)
- Experience creating and validating evidence for the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) Security Controls
- Familiar with a log management tool. (Elk Stack, Splunk)
- Overall Desire to learn and create processes to improve the overall security of the environment, not everything will have instructions, you will be a frontier.
- Use and understanding of enterprise security scanning tools (Tenable, Burp Suite)
