Position Overview
As Chief of Staff to the Chief Information Officer (CIO), you will serve as a strategic partner and right-hand leader, driving execution across a broad portfolio of technology and data initiatives. You will help align cross-functional efforts, facilitate communication and decision-making, and ensure that priorities across IT, data analytics, and digital transformation programs are executed efficiently and with clarity.
This is a high-impact role that requires strong business acumen, excellent organizational skills, deep knowledge of agile delivery frameworks (particularly SAFe), and a passion for enabling data-driven decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

  • Strategic Execution & Planning
    • Partner with the CIO to translate strategic objectives into actionable plans across the IT organization.
    • Coordinate the development and tracking of OKRs, KPIs, and strategic initiatives.
    • Drive operational cadence including leadership meetings, quarterly planning, and Agile ceremonies.
  • SAFe Framework Integration
    • Facilitate alignment and collaboration across Agile Release Trains (ARTs) and teams.
    • Support PI (Program Increment) Planning, inspect and adapt workshops, and lean portfolio management practices.
    • Act as a connector between strategic goals and execution across portfolios and value streams.
  • Data & Analytics Enablement
    • Support the development and execution of the enterprise data strategy in partnership with data and analytics leaders.
    • Ensure timely delivery and adoption of analytics capabilities that inform business outcomes.
    • Promote data literacy and advocate for data-driven culture across the IT function.
  • Operational Excellence
    • Identify and remove bottlenecks in decision-making and execution.
    • Monitor key projects and initiatives for performance, risks, and resource allocation.
    • Lead special projects on behalf of the CIO and represent the office in cross-functional forums.
  • Communication & Leadership
    • Prepare executive presentations, board updates, and internal communications for the CIO.
    • Serve as a liaison between IT leadership and other enterprise functions including finance, HR, and legal.
    • Foster a collaborative, transparent, and results-oriented environment.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required; MBA or relevant advanced degree preferred.
  • 8+ years of experience in technology, strategy, operations, or consulting rolesβ€”preferably in healthcare, insurance, or financial services.
  • Proven experience with Agile methodologies; SAFe certification strongly preferred (e.g., SAFe SPC, SAFe Agilist).
  • Solid understanding of enterprise data strategies, analytics tools, and digital transformation initiatives.
  • Exceptional communication, facilitation, and executive presence.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage competing priorities, operate with discretion, and build trust across levels.
