Salary: Base- $100,000 - $120,000/year, Commission up to $18,000/year

POSITION SUMMARY 

Virtual Chief Information Officers (vCIOs) are strategic business partners for our customers. They are responsible for building and maintaining purposeful relationships within our existing client base, resulting in highly effective information technology recommendations, driven by our clients’ strategic business objectives. This position requires a depth of understanding of IT infrastructure, cybersecurity, and digital transformation coupled with strong business acumen making it a purposeful driver of growth, stability and customer satisfaction.  

WHAT DOES OUR VCIO DO? 

  • Act as the primary contact for client executive level relationships 
  • Responsible for client strategic planning including roadmaps, budgets, business and technical alignment 
  • Manages opportunities, strategic business reviews, client onboarding presentations, solution comparison and consulting, business intelligence analysis execution and delivery, audit reviews, technical stack alignment, Microsoft 365 service strategy workshops and guidance, and consulting engagements.
  • Participate in networking events. 
    • Partner with in-market business development team as a subject matter expert to new customer acquisition.

WHAT DO I NEED TO BE A SUCCESSFUL VCIO? 

Experience/skills in: 

  • The art of translating technical concepts into succinct, non-technical terms to executive-level stakeholders
  • Understanding organizational goals, collaborating with customer C-Suite in building and executing the roadmap and strategic plan
  • Knowledge of IT (Information Technology) applications, processes, software, and equipment such as Microsoft systems such as Microsoft 365, Azure, and our other MSP (Managed Services Provider) tools and services.  
     

Knowledge and understanding of:  

  • Amazing strategic planning, including an ability to interpret technology and market trends to develop strategic roadmaps for your clients.
  • Providing visionary leadership in the development and implementation of IT   initiatives across the organization
  • Innovative problem solving, tempered by the wisdom of knowing innovation comes with risk. We love creativity but need to consider how it may impact our ability to deliver world-class service at scale.

Qualifications

WHAT QUALIFICATIONS WOULD REALLY HELP SET ME APART FROM OTHER APPLICANTS? 
 

  • Bachelor’s Degree, preferably in business administration, technology, or related.
  • Extensive professional experience in developing strategic plans, roadmaps, and budgets, collaborating with C-Suite executives for approval and implementation.
  • Hands-on experience supporting and managing physical and virtualized Microsoft\ Windows based server environments.
  • Experience with networking technologies such as firewalls, routers, switches, etc. 
  • Background working within the IT managed services provider business model, particularly as an Account Manager, vCIO, or similar role. 
  • Knowledge and experience working with Microsoft 365 and Azure. 
  • 5+ years of relevant experience which may include technical or customer account management, IT or network administration.

 WHAT IS THE WORK ENVIRONMENT LIKE? 

  • Normal office working conditions. Work requires regular sitting/standing at a desk, working with a computer. This position requires standing, walking, sitting, using hands, seeing, reaching, talking, writing, and hearing; it may require occasionally carrying or lifting equipment if working on-site. 
  • Position requires contact with others - in meetings by phone or by email. Interactions focus on data collection, problem solving, needs analysis and technical work. Interactions are initiated in person or electronically. Position require travel to Convergence Networks and customer sites.
