AERMOR is seeking a highly skilled Cybersecurity Engineer III to support our cybersecurity operations, ensuring robust defense measures for military systems and environments. This role requires in-depth knowledge of DoD cybersecurity policies, Risk Management Framework (RMF), and hands-on experience with cybersecurity tools and technologies essential for safeguarding critical defense systems.
Key Responsibilities:
Apply advanced knowledge of computer security, military system specifications, and DoD cybersecurity policies to support mission-critical systems.
Provide cybersecurity expertise supporting the NCRC Total Ship Computing Environment (TSCE) program, including mission requirements, ship installation protocols, and related standards.
Implement and manage Risk Management Framework (RMF) processes, ensuring compliance with DoD cybersecurity requirements.
Deploy, configure, and maintain cybersecurity boundary defense techniques and IA-enabled appliances, including:
Firewalls
Intrusion Detection Systems (IDS) / Intrusion Prevention Systems (IPS)
Switches/Routers
Cross Domain Solutions (CDS)
EMASS (Enterprise Mission Assurance Support Service)
Endpoint Security Solutions (ESS)
Perform Security Technical Implementation Guide (STIG) implementations across various systems to ensure hardened security configurations.
Conduct vulnerability assessments using the Assured Compliance Assessment Solution (ACAS) tool and interpret findings.
Remediate identified vulnerabilities by applying vendor patches and updates on both Linux and Windows operating systems.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure effective integration of cybersecurity controls throughout system development and deployment.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in one of the following disciplines:
Information Systems
Information Technology
Computer Science
Computer Engineering
Must possess an IAT Level III certification.
A combined total of ten (10) years of full-time professional experience in the following functional areas:
Computer security, military system specifications, and DoD cybersecurity policies.
Experience with National Cyber Range Complex (NCRC) and Total Ship Computing Environment (TSCE) program requirements, ship installation standards, and mission protocols.
Knowledge and implementation of the Risk Management Framework (RMF) and cybersecurity boundary defense techniques using various IA-enabled appliances (e.g., Firewalls, IDS/IPS, Switches/Routers, CDS, EMASS, ESS).
Proficient in STIG implementation for secure system configurations.
Conducting vulnerability assessments with ACAS and remediating findings.
Applying vendor patches across Linux and Windows environments.
